All departures from your nearby stations with one click. Wemlin was one of the first Swiss made apps available on the iPhone. What started as a mobile-driven idea is nowadays a full-blown platform for all major smartphone operating systems. A monitor-driven UI is offered for usage in Point of Sale-Environements (POS). All backed up by a powerful HUB application that is capable to handle schedule data protocols (HAFAS, GTFS). The HUB delivers real-time schedule data to the clients as well.

POS Module

The Wemlin POS (point of sale) is a departures feed for displays. It can be used as a low cost DFI or on big monitors in public spaces. Wemlin POS delivers real-time data because it is directly connected to the server via a … line. All displays are easily configurable via a mega-dropdown that features all options. Expert configuration consists of  in- and exclude options for transport companies, specific lines, directions and platforms. Show pertubation messages (GTFS standard) with animation. The POS is running on mega displays in the Swiss town of St. Gallen.

Wemlin HUB

The HUB is the expert system area. It consists of a powerful data control interface for transport units that gives a clear and quick overview for all trips, stations and lines within a timetable. Employees from transport companies get an overall view about each single connection for every minute of the day. Wemlin HUB offers tremendous search capabilities and views of all data within a given timetable. The users are able to check  complex requests like „is the line 161 in operation on Sunday 29th of February between Basel SBB and Riehen?“ with just a few clicks. HAFAS data-packages can be converted online into GTFS-data. The maintenance and publishing of schedule bundles  for the Wemlin App is fully supported. The creation of schedule packages for the Wemlin mobile app is supported too. Wemlin HUB is not only the timetable check-tool that we dreamt of for ages. It lowered the check-time for a complex timetable from >5 hours with a lot of manual tests on mobile devices to one hour on a desktop.
